Alcohol ink artworks are susceptible to fading over time, especially if in direct sunlight. To prevent this, paintings need to be sealed and protected and while Krylon sprays are a common brand used by alcohol ink artists, it is a multi-step, multi-can process. By contrast, the MTN PRO Acrylic Varnish can both protect and seal alcohol ink art/paintings with a single can. When this varnish is applied over alcohol ink, it prevents inks from activating and bleeding/moving while it’s non-yellowing and good resistance to UV light protect the work.
MTN PRO Acrylic Varnish is made with solvent-based thermoplastic acrylic resins. Ultra fast-drying, its main function is to protect and protect different surfaces (plastic, wood, metal etc).
It can be applied for indoor and outdoor use on a multitude of materials in order to increase surface protection in three finishes: glossy, satin or matte. Different finishes will be obtained depending on the number of layers applied. It is completely transparent and does not yellow.
Remember to shake the can well before spraying and to follow the manufacturer’s instructions. For effective results, apply multiple thin layers to the art in a well-ventilated area – this will your seal alcohol ink art well.
