Is Krylon the only varnish for alcohol ink?
There is a lot of talk amongst the alcohol ink community about the use of Krylon sprays for sealing and protecting alcohol ink art, however, they involve a multi-step, multi-can process. By contrast, the MTN PRO Acrylic Varnish can both protect and seal alcohol ink art/paintings with the same can and provide the same benefits.

Alcohol inks give you something enjoyable to focus on, whether it be creating an art piece or perhaps creating a resin coaster, it gives you a good way to calm down an overactive mind and alleviate some anxiety symptoms. You don’t need to have experience before getting started. It is an interesting hobby one that encourages exploration and experimentation.
What surfaces can I use alcohol inks on?
You can use alcohol inks on a non-porous work surface. For example glass, ceramic, synthetic paper (e.g. yupo, narapaper), raw or baked polymer clay, craft plastic sheets, hardcore panel with a vinyl coating or in resin that has not set yet!

What are alcohol inks?
Alcohol inks are translucent solvent-based dyes, designed to work with other solvents. The inks dry in 7-10secs depending on the surface and if they have been mixed with another substance. In addition to the base range, there are typically variants such as ‘pearls’ – they contain mica powder while ‘alloys’ contain a leafing metallic.
